Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of powerful but fragile characters. In the summer, while working at the company of her father Laura Linney fell in love with the theatre. Then, at Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. After graduating at Brown University she began her Broadway debut soon afterward. Within two years of that, her first film came out and the next year her TV debut. Since then she has been involved in numerous films, television plays and stage productions. During her career she received several awards, among them two Golden Globe Awards. Her nominations include five Tony Awards, and three Academy Awards nominations. In spite of all the distinctions and awards, theater is her main interest and she'll continue to play on the stage and on screen.
