April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4th, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking piano and guitar lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for songwriting. At the age of seven she began to take piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her interest in writing songs. In her 14th year, April devoted much of her day creating and playing with songs. Soon, April began going to NY and LA along with her dad in order for them both compose songs. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for some of the friends she had who struggled with issues such as peer pressurization disabilities, and even teenager suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle blogger and having partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia and YSL, has cultivated a large audience. She was born without a left hand and that creates her unique. However, this isn't the only characteristic of her. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not ignore the fact that she is disabled and does not concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. It's a message. That we all contain multitudes that our identities are complex and that we're much greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance is what defines me. I don't intend to influence disability because I have many more things to contribute." However, it doesn't affect my daily living. I continue to do my normal activities and I've adapted to my disabilities. In addition, I see it a very important aspect of me. Self-acceptance is a lifelong marathon but Lockhart truly inspires me for this aspect. Yet, she confesses having moments when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance as well as wearing clothes that showed her arms. She is able to wear anything she wants, and she is proud to share photos of herself in these outfits. For her, self-love is always a lengthy process. However, I believe that's the case for everyone, whatever the source of their anxiety. I think that having people around you who really know you and see your heart is really important as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you concerned about?
