Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. She is the oldest child among four children. She was encouraged by her parents, dentist, and a teacher who were both teachers to pursue her interest in theatre. It was in stark contrast to an earlier desire to pursue a career as a primateologist since she was a fan of monkeys. It was a quick rise for her to become a well-known young actor. In 1998, after completing her studies, she was able to be a part of Jeunes Premiers an French TV talent-scouting programme which was run by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to begin her professional acting career. Tautou was raised in an Catholic home, and was a member of the her church even though she went to school within The Institut Catholique de Paris. Alongside her acting career, Tautou pursued modelling and was the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In addition to her acting profession she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on celebrity and fame, and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her after her meteoric rise in fame and fortune as Amelie as well as self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's international success and fame soared after her role in the film as Amelie Poulain's main actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai box office success and received acclaim at awards ceremonies all over the world. It's also the biggest French language film to ever be released to be released in the US. Following the release of this film, Tautou starred in a variety of films, ranging from British dramas to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and starred with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
