Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and charming characters. Adams grew as the seventh child of seven in Castle Rock Colorado. Adams began performing and dancing professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then at the Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined an area theatre in Minnesota in which she was featured in a documentary mock-up about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Following her successful screen debut with the role of an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet moved to Los Angeles where she began professional acting. From June 1951 to September 22, 1962 she got wed to the actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her film career during the latter half of 1940s. She appeared in several popular films in the next decade, like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
